Day -2.5 and Hanging On

I had a rough Sunday and did not post. The main thing yesterday is that is that the pharmacy put all of my chemo med in a 12 hour bag instead of a 24 hour bag. By the time we figured it out, I had already been slammed with most of it at the higher rate....which was apparently no problem from a toxicology standpoint, but it did increase the side affects significantly. I was nauseous and unable to focus on much. My eye sight is off so even typing can be rough. But the good news is that today (Monday), the effects have started to wear off and am making it back around the floor for a few laps.

I also found out that my last chemo (BCNU) must be given on its own day which will be tomorrow. Then I get a full day of rest (YEAH!) and my transplant will now be on Thursday. So that is why I labelled today -2.5. Although this adds a day to my treatment, I will gladly take it to have the extra day before the transplant begins.

This is definitely a challenge. Being confined to a small room except for a few laps while feeling like total cr*8 is no fun. But I had the best phone call with Brant today who reminded me to focus on the little steps. I am almost done with chemo - that is step one. I don't need to focus on the whole process. Speaking of home, sounds like things are in full swing and that Brant's mom Pat is doing as wonderful job down there helping out as my mom is up here. THANK GOD FOR MOTHERS (and the rest of our friends and family, too!!!)

Go grrrl...sounds like they inadvertently got you a bit ahead of the game and now you just need to hang in there one step at a time like Brant is saying.

We're going to be shutting down the connection in about 18hrs, so won't be able to check in with you as frequently, but you will never be far from our thoughts as we make our way across the big brown outback.

Much love to you and your amazing support team (go Mom!)

Keep it up cousin. There is always a plan. Bob and I headed into court this morning. I just read PSALM 35 to him. After being cuaght red handed these thieves use what they know best and what they think will help them along with there great fortune and power. Wickedness and lies that are collected by these thieves to cover up there sins while they still have a chance to get away. But God will not let them get away. God will not let they're lies undo they're sins. I am reading PSALM 50 now, thanks for the tip becuase we need a smile as well right now. It loks like we both need to focus on each little step. I pray for the Holy Spirit to come to you and bring you great strength and great wisdom like he did for (doubting)Thomas after Jesus was crucified and the whole town was laughing and mocking them becuase Jesus died. Then the Lord showed his power. He sent Jesus back from the dead to visit his mother and all his closest followers and loved ones. The guards and citizens were hungry to end this Jesus Thing and now that he was gone they were 'wrapping things up' and looking for followers to shut up once and for all. But when the Holy spirit came and filled Thomas and the others they became so wise with there words that all listened to them. The Holy Spirit filled there minds with several real languages so they spoke as very educated people when they were not. They were filled with strength and rock solid courage even though especially Thomas was in his own nature a pessimist and very shy and all before this were terrified for there lives and what would happen to them as the entire community seemed to hate them and think they were insane. But after Jesus came to them and God sent the Holy Spirit to fill them they were like a new person. Wiser and articulate. Calm and strong. Leaders clearly. They then all of them together spoke out to the wicked leaders and proclaimed Jesus had died and then rose again and that he was alive and well and that the Holy Spirit was with them right now giving them strength and wisdom abound. This made such an impact that the local leaders became fearful that the population would respect these followers and that at this time they should stay quite until things appear to be a more benificial time to have them beaten or killed. This 'time' allowed Jesus's followers to spread there witness to his rising and to his love and protection from all forms of evil and sickness. To tell it in the languages that the Holy Spirit filled them with and the courage to do what they could to encourage goodness and love and comfort and compassion. Like Jesus did and still does today. God bless you again today Rachel and our family and there familys with the Holy Spirit so that we all may feel Gods great love and power and wisdom. So that we can walk (or ly down)with that spirit filled power.
So that we can be a witness to what can be done if we have the desire to be honest. Honest with God. Honest with ourselves. There is plan and you and I will laugh and play again soon. God blesses those who ask and truly believe. The weather is perfect and I cannot wait for the oppertunity to spoil all four of you for a few days. Please pick a long weekend to stay in our guest room and enjoy the sun and the lake as soon as you are able. I love you and I have to go see what evil lerks in the clay county court house today. My problems are so small today. I just know they are. Love Cyndi and Bobby
